Dumb & Deadly Diabetes Mistake !

banner_dumbWhile the incidence of type 2 diabetes has skyrocketed, the understanding and treatment of it is amazingly outdated and ineffective. People are sicker, fatter, and unhealthier than ever before because they re simply not being given the right help!

While death rates due to cancer, heart disease, and stroke have all declined in the last 20 years, Diabetes death rates continue to climb.

If you are one of the 24 million children and adults in the United States who live with diabetes, you’ve got a 60-70% chance of suffering from mild to severe nerve damage, and more than a 65% chance of dying from heart disease or stroke. Living with diabetes also increases the rate of amputation, kidney failure and adult blindness. Diet is extremely important in managing and even reversing your prognosis… Read More...

Even though diabetes is one of the leading causes of death in the United States, the federal government spends only a nickel each week on diabetes research on behalf of every American!

TYPE 2 Diabetes continues to rise!

Type 2 diabetes is the most common form of diabetes. Millions of Americans have been diagnosed with type 2 diabetes, but many millions more are unaware they have it or one step away from this diagnosis. Some groups have a higher risk for developing type 2 diabetes than others as it is more common in African Americans, Latinos, Native Americans, and Asian Americans/Pacific Islanders, as well as the aged population.

What is Type 2 Diabetes?

Another name for Type II Diabetes is Insulin Resistance or Metabolic Syndrome X.
This is the inability of your cells to take in and use insulin properly. It is the cause of 90 % of diabetes cases. This syndrome is what triggers your blood sugar and your weight to rise.

Insulin resistance is virtually ignored by conventional medicine and it s most likely why the numbers for people with Type 2 diabetes continue to rise.

When you become insulin resistant, unused glucose roams your body and attacks your cells. Extra pounds appear, especially in the abdomen.
Your blood gets thick with glucose, causing your circulation to slow down, and then your tissues become starved of blood and the precious oxygen and nutrients it carries. Your kidneys work overtime, pumping water into your blood in a vain attempt to dilute the sugar. Your body careens toward an inevitable breakdown.

Unfortunately, doctors only focus on lowering blood sugar, not the causes behind it. Drug therapy rarely works; in fact, it often has the opposite effect.

Not one of the five major classes of oral diabetes drugs fixes the root cause, nor do insulin shots. The majority of these medications merely increase insulin production, which is the exact opposite of what you need when you have Type 2 Diabetes!

It is a grave error being made over and over again by conventional doctors. You are not insulin deficient, you are insulin resistant when you have Type 2 Diabetes.

You’ll find many doctors increasing dosages, and adding more and more medications. What medications will do is give you a brand new set of nasty side effects to battle. Prepare for weight gain, gastrointestinal upset, liver problems, elevated cholesterol—even heart attack and stroke. These are known risks of these medications.

Diabetes and Obesity Go Hand in Hand!

It s a medical fact—weight problems and type 2 diabetes are rarely separated. You almost never have one without the other. The good news is that when you lose weight, your blood sugar improves, and when you fix your blood sugar, your weight goes down rapidly.

Low-glycemic foods are one of the greatest weight loss and glucose-lowering breakthroughs for people with diabetes. When you eat these types of foods, they release glucose into the bloodstream slowly, keeping your energy up, your hunger down, and your blood sugar stable. You will see that weight comes off rapidly and far more easily.

What conventional doctors also fail to address is the fact that Diabetes is a nutritional wasting disease. You lose massive amounts of water-soluble vitamins and minerals as your kidneys attempt to flush out excess glucose. Your health literally drains away.

Lack of these nutrients sets you up for everything from diabetic neuropathy (painful nerve damage in your hands and feet) to atherosclerosis, which is dangerous plaque buildup in your arteries.

Science has the answer, but doctors are ignoring it!

Research shows that a Low Glycemic Diet along with aggressive use of specific nutritional supplements protects against the known ravages of Diabetes. Even a small amount of exercise or activity helps to get your glucose levels down – which in turn drops extra pounds.

Exercise increases the transport of glucose into your cells where it s used as fuel for hungry muscles – meaning less glucose winds up in your bloodstream.
